Important progress updates about the new clubhouse project

UPDATE 13/10/21: Tender for project support

We are asking architects to tender for work, helping us to develop this brief into some detailed costed plans, and taking us through the planning process.


We are opening the tender from the 13th October and closing two weeks later on Friday 29th October.


Information required upon which decision will be based:


  • Experience of similar developments
  • Details of Employers, Public and Professional Indemnity insurances.
  • Fee proposal for architectural services up to and including planning stage (RIBA stage 1-3)
  • Description of how cost control will be managed including, where appropriate, which cost consultants you will engage to provide cost advice.
  • Anticipated issues and decisions based on information contained with the development brief
  • Initial ideas for project delivery.
  • Outline of engagement/consultation process with club membership



Whilst the tender is for RIBA stages 1-3 it would be useful to outline your ability to continue a role within the project in terms of architectural services, contract administration and project management to cover RIBA stages 4-6


Questions can be sent to Campbell Williams, who can also organise site visits if required. Based on the initial soft cost, we are aiming for a budget of around £1million including some contingency but excl. VAT.


The decision process will be a review of submissions followed by an interview with 2 directors of the club ( one of whom is a Chartered QS), and a chartered architect, who has supported the process to date
